What does "blended rate" mean exactly?+
One per-minute price covers everything that competitors meter separately: the LLM tokens, the speech-to-text engine, the text-to-speech voice (any of five providers), and the telephony carrier. You see one rate. You get one charge per minute. There are no surprise components added at month-end.
Is the $10 minimum a deposit or a fee?+
A deposit. The full $10 funds your wallet and is metered against your actual usage. You can also opt into a $20 credit promotion when you start, which doubles your initial spendable balance to $30.
What happens if my wallet runs out mid-call?+
If auto-recharge is on (default for production tenants), the wallet tops up automatically when it crosses a configurable threshold (default $50 → $500). If auto-recharge is off, in-flight calls and emails complete using a reserved buffer, but new sessions are blocked until you fund the wallet.
Can I bring my own LLM or TTS provider?+
Yes. ATHENA defaults to OpenRouter (GPT-5.1) and one of five TTS providers (Cartesia, ElevenLabs, OpenAI, Rime, Deepgram). You can override per V-Rep with your own LLM endpoint or voice. The blended rate adjusts accordingly.
Are HIPAA and PII handling included?+
Yes. PII redaction runs at ingestion on every Voice and Email V-Rep. PHI masking is part of the standard pipeline. HIPAA-aligned posture is included in the wallet rate. Unlike competitors that charge $2,000/month for HIPAA tiers, ATHENA does not gate compliance behind a paywall.
Can I export my ledger?+
Yes. Every transaction is exportable as CSV. The same export endpoint covers wallet activity, call history, email history, and webhook delivery logs. Pipe it into your BI tool or accounting system.
